Tony Goldwyn was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. Attended Hamilton College, New York. Attended Brandeis University, Massachusetts. His grandfathers, Samuel Goldwyn and Sidney Howard, were frequent collaborators for many years. They worked on a total of eight films together: Bulldog Drummond (1929), Raffles (1930), One Heavenly Night (1931), Arrowsmith (1931), The Greeks Had a Word for Them (1932), Dodsworth (1936) and Raffles (1930).
