Marion Ramsey was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Wore a fat suit for her role as Sgt. Laverne Hooks in the Police Academy movies. Originally, the plan was for her character to get thinner as the movies progressed, but the producers later decided not to go through with it.
