Ossie Davis was born in Cogdell, Georgia, USA. Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Actors Branch). Lived in New Rochelle, New York. Recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2004, along with Elton John, Joan Sutherland, John Williams, Warren Beatty and wife Ruby Dee.
